Jill Bullock from Nourish the Sole Reflexology in Regina, is my guest on the blog today! I’m so thankful to have connected with her, as she is also very interested in working to support the new mothers here in the community. She provides excellent reflexology treatments, which have be shown to benefit many common health concerns that are associated with childbirth and the postpartum period. Reflexology is another great way to take care of yourself, and feel as healthy as possible. She has joined me in supporting our 2015 Climb Out Of The Darkness- Team Regina and will be set up providing FREE mini treatments to  all of our Warrior Moms who make it out! Join us Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 am at Douglas Park Hill. Help us shed some light on Postpartum Depression (PPD),  and raise some very important funds for the best organization available to new mothers, Postpartum Progress!

Hope to see you Saturday!

Reflexology for Regina’s new Mothers!

Reflexology helps relax new mothers. Experience how reflexology enhances the bonding between you and your new baby. Rebalance your body’s natural equilibrium through regular reflexology treatments.

Reflexology is a non-invasive, safe and supportive therapy done on the feet (also on hands and ears). Certain areas on the feet, called reflexes, correspond to areas of the body. Massaging these reflexes restores the body’s natural state of equilibrium. Many women find reflexology helps them relax and cope with the stresses of being a new mother.

During a treatment, Mom may wish to cuddle her baby, which is a great way to enhance bonding and relaxation for both. Also, if the baby’s close by it is more convenient for mom to nurse.

All through pregnancy and childbirth a woman’s body goes through many changes. Regular reflexology treatments following childbirth help ease the symptoms of the postnatal period by:

  • regaining hormonal balance
  • increasing energy levels and feelings of overall well-being
  • improves quality of sleep
  • calming and relaxing mom
  • helping menstrual cycle regulate
  • relieving constipation
  • supporting breastfeeding and lactation
  • relieving urine retention
  • relieving backache
  • lowering blood pressure

Most of all, as overwhelming as being a new mom can be, please remember to take care of yourself too. A reflexology treatment helps a mother feel relaxed and more connected to her baby. Our clinic is breastfeeding friendly so come and experience the calm, relaxing atmosphere or arrange for a home visit to accommodate a new mother.

Please remember, You are doing a fabulous job!!
